Hello and thanks for stopping by! My name is Steph, and I’m known for being wordy, so if you really want to know all About Me, we could be here all night. 😉
In a nutshell, I’m a hockey mom, a runner, a photographer, and a redhead. My goal in life is to be a positive influence on the world, and that’s the goal of my blog, too! (Also, to brag about my two hockey players and to show off the thousands of pictures I take every year. 😉 )
I used to be pretty heavy, and I hated to exercise. I also used to not have red hair or kids, but things change, right? 😛 Yes, they do, thank goodness!
Here are some before and after pictures to help you understand where I’ve come from and where I am now.
So there you go, now you know all about me. 😉

How “That Loud Redhead” came to be…
First, you have to understand that I am an uber-enthusiastic hockey mom (for several years, I even managed both kids’ teams). Even though we change teams like underwear (or so it feels), I still know every kid on each of my kids’ current teams by name and number, and I cheer (loudly) for every single one of them at every game.
Back in 2011, a few days before I decided to do a blog, my friend and fellow hockey mom told me that she and her mother-in-law were sitting in the stands at a recent game, waiting for it to begin. The mother-in-law saw me coming around the far end of the arena toward the stands, and she turned to her daughter-in-law (my friend) and whispered, “Oh, there’s that loud redhead.”
Some might think I would be offended by this comment, but I just laughed and laughed when she told me (as she knew I would). I mean, it is, without a doubt, the perfect way to describe me, and as soon as I decided to create a blog, I knew what the perfect name for it would be! So, I have to thank the senior Mrs. W for that wonderful moniker. 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
